This family residence is located on Oglu Street – Coal Street – in Riga, overlooking the Daugava River. The exterior of the building takes on the dark colour of this name, while the interior is light-hued. A gradation of sand and ash shades were selected to complement the views of boats on the river sailing out to sea.

The old fisherman’s smokehouse is transformed into an inspiring environment for relaxing, thinking and socializing. Comfortable sitting areas both inside and out are the site for intimate discussions or movie screenings, with an integrated home cinema. The sanctuary-like feel is completed by a curated library of design, architecture, travel and cookery books. The stone chimney is stocked with the finest wines and whiskeys.
