Barents Seafood Bar is primarily inspired by the Grand Cafés of metropolises like Paris or Vienna at the turn of the twentieth century. The interior design invites guests to celebrate life. The palette is based on the misty blues and greens of open waters. The historical ambiance is enhanced by terrazzo features—the bar counter, tables, and floor—and Thonet’s renowned rattan chairs. A restored Sputnik lighting fixture, made at the beginning of the eighties by local metalwork artists at the Māksla factory, acts as a focal point evoking the late Space Age.
